Great to hear from all of you!
Yes, we start school before Labor Day - I think we are about the only district in the US that does! Of course, this means that we get out earlier than the rest, which is nice. :)
They changed our calendar years ago so that students could take finals and end the semester before going home for winter break.
I am still in the classroom, but sit in as principal when they are at administrator meetings. I decided to continue teaching 7th and 8th science because I do not want to give up my summers! Admin would take too much time away from my family, and I just can't give that up right now. Mitchell is in 7th grade, taking high school math, running cross country, playing basketball, piano and the sax. Dylan is in 2nd grade, playing soccer and piano. Both boys are in scouts. I would hate to miss their activites because I had to stay at my school for some event.
Well, I better get dinner ready for the boys because both have scouts tonight!
Take care all, and hope to hear from you again!

Encouraging!
Great to see you here! School starts here next week (after the Fair!). Emma met her 4th grade teacher today at her French Immersion school, and Axel started classes at Minneapolis Community College on Monday. 18 is a tough age. Whew.
I'll post some pictures soon.... Thanks for signing up!
(I think we should each encourage three others from our class!)

Hi from Shelley
Well Lisa, if you're an old geezer, that makes me one, too. While my kids are old pros at all of this - this would be my first attempt. Sometimes it just takes me a while to catch on. On the subject of old, Courtney will be a sophomore in college this year and Tyler will be a senior in high school. If I think on it too long, I begin to get an ache in my back, feel my eye sight fading and see more and more wrinkles and gray hairs appearing:-) So I try to think on the bright side - oh wait, is there are bright side with tuition payments, car insurance for teenagers and gas at $3/gallon and a house full of teenage boys devouring everything in sight??? Seriously though, life is good and I'm blessed.
Great idea Suzanne! It will be fun to find out what everyone is doing!
Hi Carol! What are you doing now? The last I heard (which was before our last reunion) you had just gotten your principal's license. I just finished mine this past May and am currently working on my director of instruction license. I'll be interested to hear if you have any job-related tips.
Hi Beth Ann! Hope life is treating you well. I was thinking about you the other day when Easy Bake ovens were in the news and all of the cakes we made those many, many years ago. Somehow we survived it all without any devastating consequences.
Well, I know I've written longer than the other postings - hope there isn't any "rule" regarding length. This was fun - can't wait to read what is going on in everyone else's life!

Hi Everyone!
I feel like an old geezer trying to figure out blogging, but I made it in!
25 years???? Now I really feel old. How's everyone doing?
What's the scoop on a reunioin next year?
Carol, you've already started school? Wisconsin doesn't start until after Labor Day. We need to enjoy the warmth while we can. HA
Anyone have any pictures to share?

How-to
If you want to publish on the blog, you just need to set up an account with Blogger, and then login to post. This would be a fun way to share news? (Way to go Beth Ann, for signing up first!) : )
